I remember receiving my first little piano when I was 7 years old. It was sitting near the tree on Christmas on that faithful Christmas morning. I was immediately drawn to it. It was a little wooden brown upright piano with a cute little matching bench. I remember sitting down and immediately started playing, “Mary Had A Little Lamb.” My mom heard me playing and decided to sign me up for piano lessons. Over the years, I had several piano teachers.
Like so many children who start taking piano lessons, I truly despised practicing. However, I did love making up my own songs. I’m so glad my mother, I mean Santa Clause, bought my first piano. I’ve been playing for years now and I still love creating music.
